Privacy 

My GDPR / Privacy agreement sets out how any personal data will be stored and processed confidentially.

How information is gathered 

⮚ Information that you provide by emailing me via the BACP, Counselling Directory and Psychology Today or by phone to request further information about counselling.

⮚ The pre-therapy questionnaire form

⮚ Brief session notes.

⮚ I use the platform Doxyme and Microsoft Teams which are securely encrypted.

How information is used 

⮚ I use your contact details to allow me to provide you with information of the service that you request from me, to allow us to communicate any changes in availability and any other relevant administrative changes.

⮚ I use the brief session notes, which are for my use and help me to keep track of what we discuss.  

⮚ As part of my commitment to providing a professional service, I attend supervision regularly. This is confidential and I protect your identity. 

Where I store your information

⮚ Personal data that I collect from you via any form of contact by email or phone will be kept securely.

⮚ The pre-therapy questionnaire form, your contact details, and brief session notes are stored either in a locked filing cabinet or securely in a password protected file.

⮚ I take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
